Suddenly, two women started calling me, I guess it was my height that gained their attention. They were curious about the expo. They started by explaining their relationship to each other. As I guessed, they were mother and daughter, they also explained that they were tourists and had an appointment very soon. I told them about the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Denmark’s involvement in it. They commented saying “we’re from Israel, this is interesting information about Denmark, tell us more”. I started explaining the consequences of the TransAtlantic Slave Trade, a new angle of explaining “Breaking the Silence”. They pushed their appointment’s time limit, but was so calm because they wanted to know everything about “Breaking the Silence”. They offered Encouraging words and even said “this is history in the making, continue the work, you’ve blessed us with wonderful information about your home and we’ll never forget it.” Realizing that not only people in Denmark are learning my history but people from different corners of the world as well, made me realize that my information can still benefit those who aren’t as connected with it. Turns out they missed their appointment, but left happy about it.
